Junk journals are hand made books made from recycled materials. The materials can include paper, tape, envelopes, buttons, lace and ribbon, ink stamps, stickers and so much more! Junk journals can be very simple or very intricate...depending on your level or expertise and what you wish to make.
The video here is for a very simple envelope journal and was interesting to learn how easily it was made.
Next, is another video for a junk journal starting with a book you will take apart and use the cover for the journal. I find this to be very interesting and still easy enough for anyone who doesn't know a lot about making their own covers and sewing it all together, etc...
I have seen so many wonderful kinds of junk journals that range from the very simple to really beautiful and involved work put into them....

Since many seem to be left with a lot of time on their hands now, why not give it a try? We all have so many things in our homes that would easily work for a junk journal. Be creative!
