Cubism - Pablo Picasso

Cubism was a revolutionary new approach to representing reality in around 1907 - 08 by artists Pablo Picasso and George Braque. They bought different veiws of subjects together in the same picture resulting in paintings that appear abstract. The subjects are usually figures/faces and objects.

Cubism is a style of art which aims to show all possible viewpoints of a person or object all at once in the same painting.

It is called Cubism because it is made out of cubes or other geometrical shapes.
