Cold porcelain and salt dough

Cold porcelain clay is a perfect substitute for polymer clay and it’s also very simple to make and is very inexpensive to make. The clay is air-dried and dries to a lightweight, stone like texture. When dry, it can be painted, it shades beautifully. As it is made of mostly corn starch it cold attract insects, sealing it with a sealer or varnish is therefore advisable.

Salt dough is a modeling material made from  mixture of flour, salt and water. It can be used to make ornaments and sculptures and is dried out in the oven.

Cold porcelain clay and salt dough should not be used in projects like vases which require water for flowers.
